  The Emergency Psychiatry is staffed 24 hours a day and is available to you without an appointment. Support ranges from outpatient crisis intervention to informational talks and preliminary discussions for organizing elective admissions or immediate hospital admissions.
• Medical Emergency Call Center Basel Tel. 061 261 15 15
  The official emergency call center for Basel City, Basel-Landschaft, and parts of the cantons of Aargau and Solothurn. If you need the assistance of an emergency psychiatrist, the Medical Emergency Call Center can establish direct contact or call for emergency medical services. The MEC has maintained good cooperation with medical societies, hospitals, and other institutions in the region for decades.

  The Women's Shelter is available to women with and without children experiencing domestic violence - whether physical, psychological, economic, or in any other form - by a husband, partner, or others. Young women aged 18 and above also find help.
• The Samaritans Tel. 143
  The Samaritans are anonymous, competent, and always there for you. Crisis support in English: dial 0800 143 000 - daily from 6 to 11 pm.
• Parent Emergency Call Tel. 0848 35 45 55
  For parenting questions, overwhelm, questions about parental presence, endangerment and abuse of children, and many other topics, our counselors are available to you around the clock. Confidential, anonymous, and free. (Calls to the Parent Emergency Call are answered by the Samaritans overnight between 11:00 pm and 8:00 am, as before, at the landline rate.)
• Central Admission of Psychiatry Baselland Tel. 061 553 56 56 (Adults) or 061 553 55 55 (Children and Adolescents)
  The Central Admission of Psychiatry Baselland in Liestal is a counseling and triage center for adults with mental illnesses. It determines which treatment is suitable and appropriate for you - outpatient, day clinic, or inpatient within the PBL, with other professionals, or in clinics and institutions.

  If you or close relatives have been injured by a criminal offense, you are entitled to free counseling and support according to the Victim Support Act (OHG).
• Walk-in / Acute Outpatient Clinic at UPK Basel Tel. 061 325 81 81
  The Acute Outpatient Clinic is a contact point of UPK Basel (Psychiatric University Hospital Basel), where you can receive support without an appointment. You can schedule an appointment by phone or go to the open consultation hours without an appointment for an initial assessment during opening hours.
• Outpatient Clinic for Children and Adolescents at UPK Basel Tel. 061 325 82 00
  UPKKJ offers outpatient and inpatient assessments and treatments for children and adolescents, involving their families. In addition to longer-term treatment stays, children can be admitted on a short-term basis in acute mental emergencies, e.g., in cases of severe mental illness, abuse, or acute suicidality.
